Privacy Policy

SMOOCH is an independent project. This page explains what we collect when you play, why, and what control you have over it, wherever in the world you're playing from.
What we collect
- Account info: your email or sign-in identifier when you create an account.
- Gameplay data: session length, moves, and choices (for example which prompt tier was picked or skipped), used to run the game and improve future content. We log categories and tiers, not sensitive personal descriptions.
- Comfort & Mood settings: the categories you privately opt into. These are used only to filter what's shown to you. They are never shared with your partner or anyone else, and never shown to anyone but you. Some of these choices may feel private or intimate. We treat them as sensitive within our product, and we do not use them for advertising, profiling, or public sharing.
- Basic usage data: browser type, general region, and simple analytics to understand how SMOOCH is used.

No payment data is collected. SMOOCH is currently free.
Why we collect it
To run the game, save your progress, keep Comfort & Mood working correctly, confirm age for After Hours, and improve SMOOCH.
How long we keep data
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Gameplay logs and analytics are kept only as long as needed to run SMOOCH, improve the product, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize account-linked data unless we need to keep limited information for security, legal, or dispute purposes.
Emails and updates
We may send service emails about your account, safety, or important product changes. We will only send marketing emails if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Partner invites
If you send SMOOCH to your partner, we may create a share link or invite message. We do not use partner invite data for advertising.
Who we share it with
Infrastructure and hosting providers that run the app on our behalf (for example Google Firebase), and basic analytics tooling. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or reveal your Comfort & Mood choices to anyone, including your partner.
Where your data is stored
SMOOCH is used worldwide, and data may be processed on servers outside your home country depending on our hosting provider's infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it's processed.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your data. You can export or delete your data from Settings inside the game, or email us. We aim to honor privacy requests wherever you are, subject to identity verification, technical limits, and legal requirements.
Children's privacy
SMOOCH is for adults 18 and older only. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete it promptly if we learn we have.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but this matters especially for Comfort & Mood settings, and we treat it accordingly.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the date above and flag material changes in-app.
